Why your own clothes
Half the fun of the trend is the outfit. Someone in a hoodie, a work shirt or a winter coat walks onto a floodlit pitch and scores one of the calmest goals in Champions League history. The more everyday the clothes, the better it lands.
How it works
The model dresses you in exactly what you wear in your photo and adds plain black football boots. Everyone else wears plain kits with no badges or sponsors. Our samples come from a quick selfie in a grey hoodie: see them on the examples page.
Ideas for what to wear
- A hoodie, like our samples. Easy, and it reads well on screen.
- Your work clothes: a shirt and tie, a suit, chef’s whites or a uniform.
- A big winter coat and scarf, as if you came straight from the stands.
- Your five-a-side kit, for the goal you wish you’d scored on Tuesday.
- A plain shirt in your team’s colours, no badge needed.
- Something from a big day: a wedding suit or a graduation outfit.
- A dressing gown, for the full Sunday morning look.
Getting the outfit into the video
- Show at least your top half, so the model can see what you’re wearing.
- Keep the face clear and toward the camera: that still matters most.
- Strong colours and simple shapes hold up better than fine patterns.
- Big logos and club badges may be changed or dropped.

Questions
Can I pick a kit?
Not here. The video uses the clothes from your photo. If you want a football shirt, take the photo wearing one.
Will my club shirt keep its badge?
Maybe not. The video is made without club badges or sponsor logos, so a badge on your shirt may be changed or left off. Plain clothes come out most reliably.
